Live Eye TV Episode 13

735

This month Live Eye Tv dives head first into the homegrown Seattle scene, and hot damn, if there isn’t a slew of new blood bubbling to the surface…

We picked some of our favs, just for you! New Fangs kick it off with the song “Set Fire”, from their new album Bayonets. ALL kinds of kick ass rock done on this album, and with very sexy muscle car curves. Seriously, this album has sooo many great ideas and rock and roll hauntings all delivered with the bands brash, solid delivery. As far as we are concerned, this album is, hands down, one the best local albums of the year!! Smells like a ROCK THE PARTY summer record to me so go buy it from somebody!

The Trashies play fuck it all garbage core with big sweat pants boners. Live, they lick gobbley gook off the floor and dry hump the kids. This is so much fun and such a relief after being locked inside for five days straight. This makes the kids loose their bananas and other acts of genial uncivility. Check out their My Space for cd-rs and their newest serving of wet shit, Life Sucks Trash Fuck. We filmed this at The Comet Tavern! The Trashies stole our lunch money.

Also, coincidentally, from these parts, and on the show…wow!?, a little group that just won The Seattle Weekly’s “Best Band in the World”, The Divorce. Okay, maybe not the world, but we sure do like them here, because they keep the pop rock creative with a little somethin’ to say…And, if that ain’t enough, we finish the show off this month with the Unnatural Helpers. Whole lotta street cred and earfulls of beautiful noise, as this band shares members of Kinski, The Lights, and Dipers. Well, alright, that explains it…these boys is short, fast, loud and in your face!!

Just in case that’s not enough…lost footage and interview with Sebadoh returns! Damn, if the tapes didn’t take off with a free loadin’ friend, and guess who just blew back into town. Well, we can’t tell you that, but we got your most favorite band from back in the day…Sebadoh, yo! Yes, it’s true, and also a little talkie-talkie with Lou and Jason, back in the alley behind The Crocodile Cafe!! You know the songs still RULE…This month also brings music videos from stellar local label Suicide SqueezeHella and Metal Hearts, to be exact. And of course, a little somethin’ somethin’ from Sub PopWolf Parade’s awesome video for the song “Modern World”.

XOXO,
mr. muscles
