New Music Video: Efterklang “The Living Layer”

The new Efterklang video for “The Living Layer” was created by Malthe Fischer and Eleanor Bock Lund, and they make brilliant use of compositing to create a gorgeous, ice blue world for their serene characters. The video features the dancers Karis Zidore, Olivia Riviere, Nanna Stigsdatter and Meleat Fredrikson as winter sprites, and using photos of roadside snow and modern Danish architecture they have collaged together a beautiful winter world that seems the perfect environment for the track’s aching romanticism! You can find “The Living Layer” on Efterklang’s 2012 release Piramida (4AD). For the album, band members Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen and Rasmus Stolberg visited Piramida, an abandoned mining settlement located on Spitsbergen, near the North Pole, spending 9 days exploring while gathering over a thousand sound recordings. Efterklang will be touring Europe and the States with a six piece band this coming Spring. Check out the up-coming dates below.
