Six years in the making, Ulrich Schnauss‘ long awaited LP A Long Way To Fall is finely out on Domino Records, as well as the artist’s own imprint, Scripted Realities. Listening to the track “I Take Comfort In Your Ignorance” reveals the artist displaying a more muscular rhythmic understructure to his work than, say, 2007’s Goodbye, with it’s more ambient moments heaven-bound in gossamer and etheric tones. By contrast, “I Take Comfort In Your Ignorance” seems to revel in it’s terrestrial nature, prowling about on the vigor of it’s beefed up bass lines and four-to-the-floor rhythms.
