New Music & Tour Dates: Gaytheist “MANhattan”

1127

Portland’s super-powered rock trio Gaytheist is currently bringing their heathen brand of punk revival to the Southwest, as the band tours in support of their outstanding Good To Die release Stealth Beats. On Tuesday March 18th the band will put out a double-sided digital single via their Bandcamp page that will include their new track “MANhattan“, as well as a re-recorded version of “Ock of Rages“. Lyrically, “MANhattan” is a razor sharp indictment of the insular and elite, using NYC’s 1% to level wip-smart condemnation against our upper, Pale & Stale class. The track barrels along with menacing low-end provided by Tim Hoff and Nick Parks on bass and drums, while Jason Rivera does damage with surgical guitar licks and his incisive wit. This song accomplishes more in 2 minutes and 8 seconds than most songs could given double that amount of time! “Ock of Rages” first appeared on the band’s self-released debut Pentagrams are Super!, and both tracks plus a lyric sheet will only cost you a dollar! Don’t miss the remaining Gaytheist dates below, and keep your eyes peeled for their May 21st release Hold Me…But Not So Tight (Good To Die).
