New Track: Cuttooth “Chet’s Edict”

980

Cuttooth has an excellent new five song EP called Dream In Colour, due out November 13th on the Belgian label Plynt Records. Hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North-East of England, Cuttooth earned his stripes producing for hip-hop groups, and this element of his style is still evident as he explores the more ambient and instrumental side of that spectrum for his new EP. “Chet’s Edict” shimmers like a fever dream on pillows of lush, chiming synth, while a halting boom-bap beat nods off into crackling mists of white static. Cuttooth’s ambient style, here, mines the liminal space between waking and dream, as the track shuffles back and forth thru that magickal door betwixt the realms! While you’re at it, you can check out Cuttooth’s Dream In Colour album trailer, with it’s very cool lunar visions, as well as previewing the cut “Speck of the Future“, via the Plynt Records Bandcamp embed below.
