Watch: Lower “Bastard Tactics”

Lower will release Seek Warmer Climes on June 17th via Matador Records and it will the Copenhagen-based quartet’s first long-player. Today we check out a studio performance video for the track “Bastard Tactics” shot by Catherine Pattinama Coleman and Hans Frederik Orbesen Barfod.

While in some ways it’s odd seeing the music performed in such a bright and white space, as the band’s brooding sonics seem better adapted for a more crepuscular setting, the result is an intimate and behind-the-scenes portrait that is unadorned in the best of ways! “Bastard Tactics” might be the band’s most emotive track yet, and it is also the clearest sonic distillation of their desire to meld a bombastic, post-punk musical attack to singer Adrian Toubro‘s lyrical and Romantic vocal delivery.

This week Lower will kick off a short US tour playing with Iceage at The Church On York in Los Angeles on May 16th, before heading back to Europe and the UK. Don’t miss those dates below!
