Deerhunter‘s Fading Frontier LP is due out October 16th via 4AD. In advance of the release, Bradford Cox has posted this very interesting interactive concept map for the album. Drawn by Cox himself, the map allows you to explore, via the magic of internet linking, various articles, YouTube videos, images, etc. that have a poetic relation to the conceptual framework of the upcoming record. While Cox’s dog Faulkner seems to lie at the center of this map, as well as the musician’s 2014 car accident and iced Earl Grey tea, many other interesting influences like Pharoah Sanders, Blue Atlas Cedars (the weeping variety), the color “chrome yellow”, and gated reverb snare all make it into this eclectic mix.
