Sean O’Hagan returns this year with his band The High Llamas, releasing Here Come The Rattling Trees LP last week via Drag City. Today we checkout their new video for the lovely track “McKain James“, directed by Elisa Ambrogio (Magik Markers). Capturing the song’s Romantic and refined innocence perfectly, Ambrogio uses homespun animations to set a whimsical mood. Seemingly made with whatever trinkets were on hand: small ceramic dogs, a book of matches, tiny mirror tiles, Ambrogio’s hand crafted visuals echo “McKain James”‘ unassuming vibe.
