Tropical Horses whip up quite a toxic brew of industrial-leaning punk on “Dead Gaze Exorcism“. The work of French musician Max-Antoine Le Corre, who writes, plays, and records his own music, this track layers a manic, repeating guitar line over a driving rhythm, while Le Corre unleashes scraping blasts of noise or marauding melodies that reel with drunken abandon. The video for the track was directed by Anthony Lapia and Le Corre, and it stars Nicolas Louédoc as a wiry nutter on a bit of a bender. Starkly filmed in front of a stone wall, Louédoc vacillates between rage and ecstasy while he acts out this track’s wild sonic energies.
