Texas stone-gaze trio True Widow released their killer LP Avvolgere on Relapse Records this September, and today we watch the band’s new video for the album track, “F.W.T.S: L.T.M.“. Combining shots of stunning vistas that evoke the wildness of the West, with closeups of human faces and forms–often the band’s own–the vast ruggedness of nature, while sometimes dwarfing these figures, also seems to provide an invitation for release and opening. True Widow’s music burns here with a slow smoldering insistence, buoyed by rough-hewn low-end that bristles like a warm wind around Dan Phillips’ hazy sweet vocals.
