Today we watch Thore Pfeiffer’s video for “Good Life“, off Kompakt‘s Pop Ambient series, one of the label’s longest running compilations. Curated by the label’s Wolfgang Voigt, the album pulls together previously featured artists like Thore Pfeiffer, Jens-Uwe Beyer, and Kenneth James Gibson–to name a few–as well as adding Tokyo-based new-comer to the series, Yui Onodera.
Pfeiffer’s track pulses with a warm and minimal ambiance while clipped vocal samples circle through the relaxed drift of this composition. The accompanying video seems to be made from someone’s collection of old home movies and it depicts the good life in scenes of idyllic bliss as families play on the lake and explore its rocky tree-lined coasts.
