Tour News: Boss Hog Tour Europe and the US in 2017–
Last year Boss Hog‘s Cristina Martinez and Jon Spencer released the track Wichita Grey, their first in 16 years, followed by the EP Brood Star (In the Red Records). This year the punk provocateurs are back with their first LP in 17 years, Brood X, due out March 24th via In the Red Records. The band’s newest effort was recorded and mixed at the Key Club using Sly Stones Theres A Riot Going On console. “17” is the upcoming album’s final track, and our first listen in on the new record. Featuring a dusty and warped version of the blues that’s not afraid to jump the tracks for a visit to the wrong side of town, Martinez narrates the cut with well-worn wisdom and the reminder, “All I gotta do is breathe”.
