The Greek composer/electronic musician Mikael Delta returns to his techno/dub roots on his new LP Circuit Theory out now via Bandcamp. We last heard from the artist in 2015 with the release of Life Is Now (Inner Ear), an album that combined the acoustic instrumentation of cello, piano, guitar, etc with electronics and elegant techno-leaning rhythms. On this newest effort, Delta continuous his introspective meditations on urban life with 10-tracks of pulsing, ambient techno.
Perfect headphone listening for the train/bus ride home after a night out on the town as well as blissed dance floor sessions, on Circuit Theory Delta paints subtle but deep emotions in monochromatic colors. And while these tracks possess an undeniable kinetic pulse thru their dub-driven rhythms, the musician’s reflective compositions also possess an inner pull drawing the listener into their own interior journey.
