Music News: Vanishing Ink | A Modern Tribute to Punk Culture and Radio

Here’s a way to chase the mid-week blues this summer…Allyson McCabe (NPR, Rumpus, SF Chronicle) and Kevin Wortis (Girlie Action Media) are launching a podcast series called Vanishing Ink, with each new episode coming out on Wednesdays beginning this coming May 31st. The pair explains the parameters of the project as such: “Stripped and taped together like the music fanzines of a bygone era, the content is raw and edgy; a modern tribute to punk culture and radio.”

Looks like you can expect the unexpected, as McCabe and Wortis will be joined by a “merry band of scribblers” that includes: “Portia Sabin (Kill Rock Stars), John S. Hall (King Missile, Unusual Squirrel), Tony DuShane (NY Times Best Seller, San Francisco Chronicle) and Liz Wood (The Rumpus), plus other greats from the famous to the anonymous.” Anti-viral by design, Vanishing Ink will be available exclusively by subscription. Now you can can check Hump Day off your 99 Problems list!
