Hot Flash Heat Wave‘s “San Francisco Dating Life” video is directed by Ry Pieri. A send-up to the vintage days of televised hook-up shows, it features the boys in the group as game show contestants searching for love in all the wrong places. Complete with a douchey host and complimentary cast of self-absorbed gals, this crew undergoes all kinds of amorous humiliation as they discover dating life sucks. The video recently premiered via What Youth where the band’s vocalist/guitarist Adam Abildgaard explained:
“It’s a reminder to not get lost in the crowd and find what makes you truly happy—to surround yourself with the ones that make you fall in love with life and yourself. In the video, we display this sentiment via a tragic dating game show where we take on the role of vain contestants desperate for love and fame.”
