Actress released his AZD LP via Ninja Tune this past Spring and today we watch his new video for the album track “Falling Rizlas.” Fellow UK musician Dean Blunt provides the direction, and he brings his enigmatic vision to this mysterious vignette. A man in a hazmat suit ducks under a police line cordoning off a cement court behind a row of apartment buildings and we watch as he collects into a plastic bag the few clues we have as to what might be going on here. A racing jacket, cap, and rose colored glasses lay scattered on the ground offering oblique evidence until the closing moments reveal a blood stained photograph. Providing few answers and more questions, Blunt’s cryptic video is an unsettling accompaniment to this beatless cut full of rippling ambiance.
