Avalon Emerson returns to Nic Tasker‘s London-based label Whities with a new 2-track 12″ due out November 3rd. “One More Fluorescent Rush” is a euphoric ride through a rainstorm of arpeggiating notes that build into a technicolor dervish of bouncing and wheeling tones. With a runtime over 6 minutes, Emerson turns this into a mini-epic of builds and drops before leaving you in a humid patch of night jungle.

The video for the track was directed by Hayden Martin, and it channels Emerson’s organic take on techno with gorgeous footage of flora and fauna. Employing plenty of split screen, with images inside of images and the occasional glimpse of the musician peering out from a dark green wall of dense foliage, the visuals here are constantly moving as images pan and bloom inside the multi-screen panoramas. Ultimately inducing a sort of pan-optical vision, this might be as close as you can get to a mushroom trip without actually ingesting psilocybin.
