Watch: Blankenberge Perform Songs From Radiogaze Live Session
Blankenberge unleashed a towering wall of sound on their 2017 debut LP Radiogaze. Initially a digital release only, the Swiss label Elusive Sound has announced that it will put the record out on vinyl next year, though the date is yet to be determined. Stay tuned, as we hope to update you on that front as soon as we know more.

Blankenberge got off the ground back in 2015 in Barnaul, a small city in the south of Siberia, after vocalist Yana Guselnikova, and guitarist/synth-player Daniil Levshin returned from their travels through Europe. Taking the band’s name from a city they’d loved on the North Sea coast of Belgium, the pair soon relocated their musical efforts to St. Petersburg where they hooked up with bassist Dmitriy Marakov, guitarist Daian Aiziatov and drummer Sergey Vorontsov. With a 2016 self-titled EP and contribution to the Cure covers project The Cure In Other Voices, as well as their Radiogaze LP under their belt, Blankenberg has also announced they will be releasing a live studio recording of their latest album laid down at Russia’s Melody Studio this past September. The performance was recorded to audio and video in a theatrical looking room that seems to resemble an old church, and the space is perfect for hearing Blankenberge’s soaring compositions. The band, in tandem with Elusive Sound, will be posting videos from this session, and today we have the first installment, with visuals for the album’s opening two tracks “Disappear” and “Somewhere Between.”
