Watch: Archie and The Bunkers “She’s a Rockin’ Machine”

Ever since the 70’s, Cleveland has produced it’s fair share of iconic punks–laying claim to acts like Pere Ubu, The Dead Boys, The Pagans, and The Electric Eels–to name just a few. In recent years, Archie and the Bunkers have made quite the racket as they begin to scrawl their name on that illustrious list of shambolic noise-makers.

The duo features brothers Emmett (drums/vocals) and Cullen O’Connor (organ/vocals), and the pair began making music in their basement where they self-produced and recorded their first two EPs, 2013’s Comrade X and 2014’s Trade Winds. Since that time, they have released music on the long standing garage punk label Norton Records, Jack White’s Third Man Records, as well as the UK’s Dirty Water Records. Having also shared the stage with legendary acts like The Sonics, The Fleshtones, Dead Moon, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Thee Oh Sees, and Shannon and the Clams, you can bet this two-man wrecking crew comes ready and raw out of the box.

On April 20th, Archie and the Bunkers bring their brand of “HI-FI Organ Punk” back to Dirty Water Records with the release of the duo’s Songs From The Lodge LP. Today we check out the pair’s new video for their track “She’s a Rockin’ Machine.” Free-reelin’ organ lines meet stripped down percussion as singer/drummer Emmett O’Connor extols the virtues of his leather-clad cutie. Filmed at Superchief Gallery in New York City and Mahalls 20 Lanes in Lakewood, OH, the video features Archie and The Bunkers’ wild live style as they sweat it out beside Kacie Marie‘s seductive Rockin’ Machine. What a couple of lucky guys, indeed!
