Out Now: Law Of The Rope / Crown Of Bone split Cassette

Our favorite noise & metal label Crucial Blast has a new installment in their Infernal Machines cassette series, a severely damaged split tape from Law Of The Rope and Crown Of Bone, which features more twisted cover art from Mories (Gnaw Their Tongues / Aderlating). The obscure, California black metal band Law Of The Rope opens things up with a slow, murderous descent into midnight terror on the track “One Wound”, and across their side of the tape Law Of The Rope creates a brutally lo-fi, psychedelic chaos. While the demonic vocal channelings and submerged screams bathed in analogue hiss make for a distressing listen on their own, it’s the completely unhinged, formless aspects of these tracks that make them truly frightening! Crown Of Bone follows the opposite strategy by unleashing a focused laser of obliterating noise. Crown of Bone is Frankfurt, Indiana’s Dustin Alan Redington, whose past projects have included Demonologists, Horror Chains, and Lord of the Dead. For his side of things, Redington burns black metal shards to blazing temperatures, until they emit a pulzering ray of white, hot noise. Totally fucking gorgeous, and the perfect antidote to your post SXSW blues! Only 200 copies of this cassette have been made, so grab one before they run out!
