New Video: Secret Circuit “Rogue Unit”

Secret Circuit accomplishes some pretty nifty and psychedelic visuals in his new video for “Rogue Unit“, off the LP Tactile Galactics, out now on Beats In Space. Secret Circuit is Eddie Ruscha V‘s current synth-based project. Ruscha was an early member of the LA band Medicine, playing bass with the alt-rock group for a short period in the 90’s. In addition, he is the son of Edward Ruscha IV, famed Pop Art painter and photographer, well known for works like Every Building on the Sunset Strip, a book of continuos photographs covering a 2.5 mile stretch of the famed boulevard. The video for “Rogue Unit” uses a steady progression of slowly advancing line images to create some very groovy, and mildly dissociative side-effects, which is kinda nice if you’re just sitting around on a Tuesday! Sonically, “Rogue Unit” builds from a funky, phasing bass line, adding a four-to-the-floor kick, before acquiring full intergalactic capabilities via super-tasty, tranced out synth lines, and a tropical, bongo breakout at midpoint. What they used to call a real primo joint!
