Watch: Thug Entrancer “Ronin”

1902

Thug Entrancer is readying his 2xLP Arcology for release on March 4th via Software. Talking about his new work, Ryan McRyhew explains: “The album title stems from the idea of a structure or object that is entirely self-sufficient and life-generating with little to no outside influence”. While that might also be a metaphor for a record that was “created in isolation”, McRyhew spent a lot of time discussing the concept with visual artist and longtime friend Milton Melvin Croissant III–who designed the album’s cover, video’s, and upcoming visuals for Thug Entrancer’s live festival performances in Europe. Today we checkout Milton’s newest animated work for the track “Ronin“, which re-introduces us to Arcology‘s world of gleaming monochromatics. Remember, we first got a look into the videomaker’s dark universe late last year with the video for the tracks “Curaga” and “Low-Life”; and while it featured an eerily empty alien craft floating through space, this time there’s a promising show of biomorphic lifeforms raving their faces off!
Look for Thug Entrancer to debut his live audio/visual set with MMCIII at the end of this month in Europe. Here are the upcoming dates
01/30/16 – International Film Festival @ Worm – Rotterdam, NL
02/02/16 – CTM Festival @ Berghain – Berlin, DE
