Gorgeous new pop from the South London-based electronic artist William Arcane, with this track “Stay A While” (Pictures Music). Arcane’s early 2014 cut “Reflected” help put the young musician on the map, as it was picked up by Bonobo in his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, as well as by Jamie XX and John Talabot for their Beats In Space mix, and he’s recently returned from a tour of the UK with Glass Animals. “Stay A While” is built around a shifting palette of skittering two-step rhythms and William’s misty, high register vocals, and the track features crisp, uncluttered production, adept beat-making, and most of all Arcane’s emotive vocal stylings! We are told that the artist is currently readying an EP release for later in October. We will keep you posted when we know more…
