Chelsea Wolfe will release her new 7″ Hypnos/Flame on April 1st via Sargent House. Containing two slow burning b-sides from her 2015 LP Abyss (Sargent House), today we listen to the upcoming effort’s lead track, “Hypnos“. Sparse and spellbinding, Wolfe weaves an emotive magic from a down-turned guitar line and the Siren call of her narcotic voice. While tracks on Abyss are often set in motion by industrial rhythms, “Hypnos” is instead paced by these patiently layered elements, and there’s a circular, winding effect to them that creates a smoldering core like a black hole, drawing the listener in with each turn through the irresistible pull of it’s dark gravity.
