We seem to be on the ambient tip this week so let’s check out Kenneth James Gibson‘s gorgeous new video for his track “Poured Semi Silently Upon You“, off the upcoming LP The Evening Falls due out April 29th via Kompakt. Gibson is a prolific musician and composer with over 200 releases under his belt in his twenty-plus years of production. Creating under a host of aliases like a]pendics.shuffle, Bell Gardens, Reverse Commuter, dubLoner–to name a few–and having collaborated with fellow producers such as Jack Dangers of Meat Beat Manifesto, Mark Bell a.k.a. Blakkat, and Mr. C of The Shamen, Gibson also founded the LA-based house and techno label Adjunct Records. The musician’s upcoming release promises to be his “first full ambient album under his real name”, and if “Poured Semi Silently Upon You” is any indication it will be an amazingly emotive and zoned-out listening experience. The video for the track is directed by the musician’s wife Kelly Johnston-Gibson, and it features the stunningly beautiful eco-designer Violeta Villacorta as a dreaming “Amazonian”.
