Futuro De Hierro is readying the release of his limited edition 12″ EP “Costumbres Y Medidas” for release sometime in late April via Gooiland Elektro/Màgia Roja. The electronic project of Catalan-based multi-instrumentalist Víctor Hurtado Torres, he is also co-founder of the label and venue Màgia Roja. Torres is responsible for projects such as Qa’a, Ordre Etern, and Huan, and he has collaborated with artists like Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten) and Nurse With Wound. Additionally, he is part of the duo Dame Area.

On the EP’s title track, Futuro De Hierro introduces you to his wicked brand of industrially scoured techno. Definitely not for the faint of heart, the cut opens with the kind of tension you can slice with a knife before the snare shots ringing out will have you ducking for cover. Dive bombing drone sounds and kick drum detonations martial “Costumbres Y Medidas” into a sonic triage zone before Torres emerges from the black smoke and blistering rhythms to bark orders with murderous intent. Yikes!
