Dlina Volny delivers fresh blood and an affirmative proclamation with their new single and video entitled “Do It.” The Belarus-based trio operates out of Minsk, and they are currently readying a full-length effort for Italians Do It Better. Inspired by a “love of early 1980’s Soviet Pop & Brutalist Architecture,” the group employs mechanized rhythms, electro-style bass lines, and vintage synthesizers to craft a nostalgic brand of synth-pop still capable of addressing contemporary concerns related to community and personal freedom.

Discussing the track, Dlina Volny vocalist Masha Zinevitch explains:

“This song is about a character who managed to break into the world they don’t belong in. They managed to lead a whole life & inspire other people to do things they’d always been afraid of. Love & rebellion are an integral part of this journey.”

“Do It” imagines crashing the “wrong party” on one’s “last day on earth.” The video for the song is directed by Begi Bratan and it stars Polina Adashkevich as the cut’s apocalyptic reveler. With a transcendental cosmic phenomenon at hand, out protagonist finds herself face-up in the dirt as a massive white light threatens to swallow everything in its wake.

If you wanna live, Dlina Volny suggest “doing” is the way you “do it.”
