Julia Bondar is readying her Industrial Symphony LP for release on September 16th via Endorphin.es Production. Bondar is an electronic musician and singer specializing in modular synthesis, and together with partner Andreas Zhukovsky, the Ukrainian-born Barcelona-based pair run the modular device company Endorphin.es. On Industrial Symphony, the artist further distills her electro, dance-oriented urges into a techno-based adventure full of drama and passion.
“Fire (feat. Nero Bellum)” is a perfect example of this. Featuring a bouncing kick drum with shadowy bass throb, the cut’s aphotic atmosphere is the perfect setting for Bondar’s transgressive sonic tale. With the word “fire” as a spoken vocal mantra, the track forgoes melodic content. Instead, searing industrial textures and blasts of horn unleash frenetic energies while anxiety-ridden ambiance and storms of sound combine for quite the harrowing listen.
