For their up-coming March 5th release on Sacred Bones, The Men left the big city and headed to a house in the remote Catskills, setting up a studio to begin work on the song sketches they’d assembled. New Moon will be the band’s fourth album in as many years, and will feature guitarists Nick Chiericozzi and Mark Perro, drummer Rich Samis, as well as friend and producer Ben Greenberg (Pygmy Shrews, Hubble, Zs) joining the band on bass. In addition, “wayward brother” Kevin Faulkner plays lap steal, and “whatever else was demanded of him”. The Men have always made the trading of musical instruments during recording and live gigs one of their artistic maxims, and it looks like the recording of New Moon was no exception, with the band fluidly reconfiguring as whim would demand!
