The haunting new video from Lapalux for his track “Without You (ft. Kerry Leatham)” stars Game of Thrones actress Natalia Tena in a bizarre, modern update of beauty meets beast. Directed by the UK’s Nick Rutter, the video utilizes high production values in understated ways to sketch a compelling tale of a woman who falls in love with a weird, wounded fetish creature until said creature’s emotional baggage is too much, and he walks out. Lapalux’s production on the track is stellar as he takes dub-step and makes it truly his own…spacious, moody, and capable of carrying real emotional weight. Lapalux’s debut Nostalchic comes out March 26 via Flying Lotus‘ Brainfeeder imprint, and has just been released on EP with the tracks “Swallowing Smoke” and “Guuurl”.
