“Sugarcrush” is the new single from the Welsh five-piece Joanna Gruesome, and it’s a fuzzy, infectious piece of noise-pop that will leave you wanting more. The track’s vocal melodies bring to mind the twee C86 sounds of 80’s indie pop, layered with a bashing-things-to-pieces punk rock drumbeat. Add in some feedback and fuzzed-out jangly guitars, and you have one truly intoxicating, aggressive/sweet song to play over and over as a soundtrack to the last days of summer!
