!!!‘s newest LP Thr!!!er is out now on Warp Records and this week the band released a video for their single “Californiyeah.” Additionally, there’s a Patrick Ford remix of the track featuring the Cali rap crew Main Attrakionz (Squadda B & Mondre). In talking about the track and video, !!!’s singer Nic Offer explains:
“The song is about being a Californian and loving it, but choosing NYC. But really we spend more time on the road than in NYC, so Tokyo felt like as good a place as any to make the video…We had free time after the show in Tokyo and our sound guy Jamie had his camera with him. We liked the way the city looked behind us going up and down in the glass elevator, so we thought why not just goof around and film this thing ourselves. It came out kinda punk looking, it’s not hi-def, but we had a blast doing it.”
