!!! (Chk Chk Chk) return this week with a new video for their cover of REM’s “Man on the Moon,” off the group’s AA single that also includes a cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.” Singer Nic Offer stars alongside Meah Pace, who sings with him on the track, and !!! drummer Chris Egan has directed the new video which features the pair’s day out in NYC. Discussing the cover, the band explains:
“REM was known as the killer house party band in Athens, years before they became MTV darlings. We have re-imagined their hit ‘Man on the Moon’ as something they would play at those house parties, in the thick of the James Brown/Ohio Players sample era.”
Speaking of killer party bands, few get it done live like !!!. You can see the group perform this month on September 15th in Brooklyn at the Elsewhere Rooftop. Additionally, the band will play the Just Like Heaven Fest on May 21st of 2022 in Pasadena.
