New Video: Happy Jawbone Family Band “Stay-at-Home Soldier”

903

If your lookin’ for a new gig, Brattleboro, Vermont’s Happy Jawbone Family Band might have just the vocation for you! Sure, being a Stay-at-Home Soldier might not be for everyone, I mean it’s pretty solitary and you get paid in ashes, but on the bright side you never miss breakfast, your free to practice your TV painting, and you have plenty of downtime with your pets! Looks like the Happy Jawbone Family Band all met while attending the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, hence the surreal word stew of their band name, and on “Stay-at-Home Soldier” they show off their penchant for turning an off-handed phrase with frowzy charm. The track also comes complete with bubble gum jangle and a goofy girl’s back-up harmony! Look for the Happy Jawbone Family Band to release their new self-titled LP on October 15th via Mexican Summer. In addition, the band will play a handful of East coast dates this coming October and November, so check them out below. Visuals for “Stay-at-Home Soldier” provided by director Mercer West
