Magik Markers will put out their new Ice Skaters 7″ tomorrow, as they ready their Surrender to the Fantasy LP for a November 19th release via Drag City. “Ice Skater” features a sparse, drum machine beat, atmospheric organ lines, and Elisa Ambrogio’s vocals alternating between lilting nursery song, and cool, seductive electro-pop. Stressing texture, and with a neon blue palette, the video for the track uses abstracted images of a young Kristi Yamaguchi, as well as what appears to be found footage and other visual ephemera, to create it’s dream-like visuals.
