Video: Primitive Motion “Skyline”

578

Brisbane’s experimental duo Primitive Motion release their Worlds Floating By LP on Bedroom Suck Records today. On “Skyline“, Sandra Selig and Leighton Craig make the most out of a little, wrapping the track around a gritty and bouncing synth line, sparse off-handed drumming, and Selig’s woozy, echoing vocals. This will Primitive Motion’s first long player, but they also have a handful of 7″, cd-r and cassette releases on Soft Abuse, Australia’s A Guide to Saints, as well as Craig’s own Kindling label! The video for the cut was directed by the band, and it composites footage of Selig and Craig playing the track against static, graphic images of buildings and trees, as well as more colorful, though abstracted, moving images.
