Juan Wauters will release his debut solo LP N.A.P North American Poetry on February 4th via Captured Tracks, and today we take a look at his new video for “Sanity or Not“. Directed by his good friend and long-time visual collaborator Matthew Volz, the video provides a hilarious, blunted-eye view of the Golden Days of Wrestling! Right off the bat, The Beets’s frontman receives a verbal slam down from a formidable female opponent, and her little masked side-kick, before the video launches into some serious hijinx that finds Wauters in the ring with some gorgeous ladies of wrestling. Ultimately, the wily singer destroys his original taunting opponent with a devastating pile-driver, before finally crushing her with a well executed, diving crossbody. I guess that’s how they get it done in Queens!
