Shit Robot returns on March 18th with his We Got A Love LP, due out via DFA Records, and today the artist dropped a new video for the track “Do That Dance“, featuring DFA chanteuse Nancy Whang! On the cut, Marcus Lambkin, the Irish-born electronic musician and DJ better known by his more scatological nom de guerre, mines deep riches from the golden days of disco. Using a vintage palette of Studio 54 beats coupled with muscular, funk-heavy bass, and with Whang’s mellow diva vocals leading the party train, “Do That Dance” gussies up it’s retro feel with an infectious House vibe. The video for the track finds alternating and heavily effected images of Ms. Whang doing that dance in front of a digitized and colorful backdrop of soccer footage and video games. Scooore!!
