Ty Segall‘s 2xLP Manipulator is out now on Drag City, and today we take a look at the video for the track of the same name. This is the director’s play-through of the interactive version of the video that can be found here. Directed by Matt Yoka, and with design/coding provided by Simon Wiscombe, the interactive version allows you to change the psychedelic scenery all around Mr. Segall as he sits cross-legged on a bed, or out in some cosmic desert littered with strange artifacts. Should Ty have a Zeus-like beard made of granite, or a sticky green bud? Buddy Holly glasses, mirrored shades, or googly eyes…you choose with a click of your mouse. This YouTube version of the video cycles through the various options without the fun of being able to change them yourself, but is still a highly entertaining viewing!
