Watch: Tom Terrien “Last Decade”

Today we take a look at Tom Terrien‘s new video for his outstanding track “Last Decade“, off the 2014 EP of the same name. Terrien is a jazz trained French pianist and producer from Toulouse who creates gorgeous, vibrant soundscapes, and his nuanced ability to move between celestially resonant keys and raved-out throbs of sub aquatic sonics makes for a truly thrilling listen. “Last Decade” is no exception, and when it’s initial, serene passage of bucolic piano is broken by a massive, doom-laden crash of bass, it is a truly startling moment…the kind that leaves you scrambling to pick up the pieces in the best of ways! The video for “Last Decade” is simply credited to Kam˙, and it’s collection of bizarre, and sometimes anatomically correct claymation figures is surprisingly emotive, while providing just the right amount of whimsy for this heady track! Tom Terrien has also just released his Mum’s Remedy EP, and it’s out now via Plug Research.
