R.Seiliog‘s debut LP In Hz is out now on Turnstile, and today we check out the Welsh musician’s new video for “Peripheral Thermal (Left)“. Directed by Casey Raymond, the video features a kaleidoscopic array of found footage depicting that golden, wide-eyed onset of the computer age. We watch as a professorial looking gentlemen fidgets with his giant, vintage PC, and when he lifts a door on this imposing device, we are jettisoned into a wild digital dream headed straight to the source of the binary code. R.Seiliog’s track begins from a very minimal sonic palette of strummed bass, string crackle, and a shuffling tic-toc rhythm, but “Peripipheral Thermal (Left)” quickly gains complexity, adding a menacing throb of bass drone and the distant subterranean rumble of jungle drums.
