We have an interesting new visual offering today from Lust For Youth for their track “Illume” off the 2014 LP International out now on Sacred Bones. Little twist, though, this version is the Sand Circles remix, which finds Swedish producer Martin Herterich slowing down the more exuberant original to a melancholy cloud watching pace.
The video for the track was created by Frederik Valentin. Featuring footage of the band playing live, and, following Sand Circles’ lead, it slows the footage to a dreamy stupor. Backlit by dramatic stage lighting and fog machine ambiance, the members of the band appear as blackened figures–shadows of themselves seemingly trapped inside a colorful spectacle of their own making.
