Georgia-based producer Chris Powers, aka C Powers or Cc, dropped this deliriously sweet new track “Carmen” today, and he’s also made it available for FREE download! While we last checked in with C Powers for his track “Phoenix Down”, off his UP Neck EP out in 2014 on CGI Records, the producer also put out his Oysters EP this year on Proper Trax. Rhythmically inclined and dance floor oriented, Powers work often forms a nexus between his interests in Chicago house and his more London-based electronic music leanings. “Carmen” seems to nod to Chicago’s vibrant footwork scene, as it deftly juggles a sugary vocal sample with kinetically skewed beat patterns, making this summer cut pure dance candy!
