Mike Donovan of Sic Alps returns with a new project called Peacers, and the band will drop their self-titled debut LP on July 17th via Drag City. Surf’s up on “Laze It“, but the beach is dirty with bubblegum and trash! Donovan brings his lo-fi swagger and effortless hook appeal to the track, as Peacers carve up some really tasty slacker pop here. The video for the cut is directed by the visual artist Jim Drain and he presents brain damaged beach footage in a kaleidoscopic array of skewed perspectives.
