Listen: Rabit “Snow Leopard”

Texas-based electronic producer Eric Burton‘s project Rabit returns this month with the release of his new LP Communion, due out October 30th via Tri Angle Records. Last month we gave a listen to the album’s lead single “Pandemic”, a harrowing rhythmic experience that pummeled with “maniacal glee”, so today let’s checkout Burton’s new cut, “Snow Leopard“. This latest offering provides more negative space than the first single, and like the animal of it’s title, there’s a remote and elusive quality to the track. While “Pandemic” felt like running amuck in a first person shooter game, “Snow Leopards”‘s shuddering, ghostly beats and pristine, ambient drift allow the listener to wander–even if a bit warily–and take in all the amazing scenery.
Rabit is currently playing a series of live dates in Europe. Here are his remaining shows…

10.23 – Amsterdam – OT301
