Watch: Telekinesis “Courtesy Phone”

501

Telekinesis has a new video for “Courtesy Phone“, off Michael Lerner‘s excellent 2015 LP Ad Infinitum, out now on Merge Records. Often rousing and anthemic, Lerner’s brand of power-pop can somehow get you going up and down all at the same time. “Courtesy Phone” sets an ebullient, fist-pumping mood without sugar coating it. Instead, it seems to celebrate break-thru, accepting the odds, and fighting on anyways!
Prolific, Portland-based director Whitey McConnaughy does the visual honors here, and it’s a head spinning, “Go Pro” epic that puts the camera thru the paces. In fact, you could say the camera is really the video’s main protagonist–an object to be thrown, smashed or attached to anything convenient–and, as such, it is also our only vantage. Hop on for a dizzying ride then, where each camera flip seems to reveal some new source of daredevil fun!
