Ty Segall‘s Emotional Mugger LP came out in January on Drag City. This new 14 minute video remixes the album into a synoptic soundtrack, and it features Ty as a man with a progressively debilitating skin condition (to say the least). Directed by Matt Yoka, Los Angeles provides the perfect backdrop here, as the city is envisioned as a violent and decadent domain literally sucking the life out of it’s citizens. Segall wanders the city witnessing it’s atrocities and wonders, while disfiguring lesions gradually turn him into gruesome and nightmarish figure. Metaphor for the City of Angels? Maybe. Zombie apocalypse? Probably!
