Shark Toys “Something Something Else”

Don’t know “who you are” or “where your going”…then, LA spazz-punks Shark Toys got just the music for you. “Something Something Else” is off the band’s 2016 LP Outsider Sect, out now on Mt.St.Mtn.. The 10-song album was recorded by Dave Fox of the Traditional Fools (Fuzz, Scraper, Vial, and Wand) during the same sessions that produced the band’s split 12″ with Florida’s UV-TV–out this year on Emotional Response.

Mike Naeimollah‘s serrated and jittery bass-lines propel this track forward, before Daniel Clodfelter adds punchy blasts of guitar and whacked out vocal lines like, “I walk thru doors sideways/I don’t even know where I’m going”. Stapled together by a back-beat you can’t loose–provided by drummer Emanuel Farias–as well as some nifty one-finger keyboarding from Rina Clodfelter, this is the perfect cut to come seriously disassociated to!

While you’re at it, check out the band’s mega-goofed video for the track. Directed by Dave Paige, it features a jacked-up exercise freak, potato-peeling nihilists, and other highly appropriate weirdness!
