Failure is getting set to release their new LP In The Future Your Body Will Be The Furthest Thing From Your Mind on November 16th. The trio, comprised of vocalist/multi-instrumentalists Greg Edwards and Ken Andrews, as well as drummer Kellii Scott, reached a high-water mark on their 1996 LP Fantastic Planet–before disbanding the following year. After reuniting in 2014 for an LA show, as well as the release of their mostly live EP Tree Of Stars–which included a newly written track called “Come Crashing“–the reinvigorated trio set to work on their 2015 LP The Heart Is A Monster.
Utilizing a creative release schedule that has seen In The Future Your Body Will Be The Furthest Thing From Your Mind put out as a series of EPs during 2018, the 16-track effort comes complete on November 16th. With the EPs In the Future coming out on March 30th, Your Body Will Be on May 25th, and The Furthest Thing this past September, the now complete LP features three new tracks and is available for free to fans who have purchased the previous efforts via the band’s website. Ken Andrews explains: “This album is turning out to be the most personal album we’ve ever made. The three of us have all been dealing with issues that have found their way into this material, both musically and lyrically.”
