Alexandra Drewchin’s Eartheater project released one of our Favorite Albums of 2018, IRISIRI (PAN). Not surprisingly, the album standout “C.L.I.T.” also ended up on our Favorite Tracks of 2018 list, with the intriguingly twisted video for the LP’s bonus cut “Claustra” making it onto our Favorite Videos of 2018, too. Okay, so that’s a lot of favorites, for sure!
This week, Eartheater returns with another video off of IRISIRI. “Inkling” sounds as though it has floated out of some strange dream space, with slowed sirens and a narcotic drum pulse providing the perfect backdrop for Drewchin’s haunting ululations. The musician teams up with Kris Stony on these new visuals for the track. When a five-alarm fire breaks out down the street, the two jump to action using the flashing red and white lights to cast an angst-filled setting for Drewchin’s striking performance.
